There’s
definitely no shortage of fresh places to hang out in a KL, as new cafes crop
up ever so often. If you find yourself wondering what to do in the city, check
out this amazing new café that I discovered for a good meal and cuppa.
Housed
within a boutique gym, Kettlebell keeps those carbs in check with a healthy
menu. But don’t be surprise even for couch potatoes like us, the menu that they
offer here to prove that healthy food can be tasty as it looks like.
I tried a meat-free protein rice bowl as it’s being highly recommended by most of the visitors here. It’s a dish that packed with brown rice, tofu, tempeh, spinach, spring onions, chickpeas, roasted pumpkin, roasted peanuts, red chilies, red cabbage, soy vinaigrette and the highlight of the dish 63-degree egg. It is perfectly proportioned, brimming with fresh satisfying vibrant flavors all around your mouth.
The whole bowl itself full of the nutty flavor as it’s coming from the brown rice that has a nutty flavor and a medium to the firm as well as a chewy texture as a sign that it’s cooked so well. Nutty flavor also comes from tofu and tempeh that both have a nice slightly crispy outer layer due to deep-fried and tempeh also give out a nutty taste with an earthy mushroom flavor.
Other than that, sweetness taste hit my taste buds as it’s coming from the spinach and spring onion. Spinach itself added a tender texture to a bowl and it’s a slightly sweet flavor that we can taste. The addition of spring onions completely adds flavor, texture, and color as a whole meal with it’s sweeter and mellower taste. Emmm my mouth watering as I think about it again.
Next, the other ingredients are chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are one of the most widely used legumes. They are small, round, and most commonly beige. Plus they taste fabulous. They have a nutty, satisfying flavor and a slightly grainy texture that makes a wonderful contrast to other ingredients.
The fact that they added a roasted pumpkin brings the whole dish to another level of tastiness. When the pumpkin is roasted, it brings out more sweetness, it’s texture is probably way more watery than a normal one. It mashes very well and is perfect and brings the creamy taste to a dish.
Not just that, it also brings a little hit up down my throat due to red chilies that they include in the meal. Personally, I’m so in love with it cause it brings a balance to the flavor and plus I really in love with spicy food so a bit of spiciness brings happiness to my tummy.
While digging my food, I totally enjoy the environment of the whole cafe that painted pink and white. Even the way they serve the food brings enjoyment to the visitors and they also provide a lot of meals and beverages choices that you can enjoy and more importantly it’s healthy food.
The whole cafe itself very trendy and instagrammables for the youth to snap a picture along with their friends and family for their aesthetic Instagram post.
Lastly, I really enjoy being here, the food, the ambiance, the people, the service are all great and worth my penny. For sure I will come here again for other Meals.

Oh no... that looks so good.I love meat , but the non-meat bowl sounds too appetising to miss out on. Definitely would put this on my next food hit-list when I'm in KL ,Fadh.
ReplyDeleteOne question, though. What in the world is a 63 degree egg?
